To a non-believer this is a strange remark. The world’s response is “saved from what?” It could be saved from: drowning, being in harm's way, going the wrong way, making the wrong decision, or doing the wrong thing.
However, the proper perspective is a spiritual one: where will your soul be spending eternity after the moment you take your last breath here on earth? How can your soul be saved from going down the wrong and broad path to hell instead of the straight and narrow path to heaven?
"What must I do to be saved?" Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved (Acts 16:30-31). "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:9,13).
Jesus Christ is the only way, the truth and the life!
