Want to acquire Godly knowledge and wisdom, but don’t know where to start?
In Proverbs 1:7, Solomon tells us that the fear of the Lord is beginning of knowledge and wisdom. He then describes many ways in which we can seek after these things in Proverbs 2, verses 1-5
"My son, if you receive my words,
And treasure my commands within you,
So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And find the knowledge of God."
Wisdom must be received and treasured. Only those interested enough to receive it will be diligent enough to incline, apply, cry out, and lift up their voice. It will take effort to seek and search for it like a hidden treasure, but if we remain, the promise is that we will better understand the fear of the Lord in our pursuit of obtaining Godly wisdom and knowledge.
