purpose
Welcome back to Calvary Castle! The royal priesthood learned about the PURPOSE God places on each life that surrenders to Him. King Solomon was called to build the temple. He gave God all the glory, even by intentionally commanding the stones carved and cut away from the temple area. Often the greatest work in the Kingdom of God happens quietly. Jesus fulfilled His purpose to come into the world and to die on the cross for our salvation. These lessons overflowed from the Chapel into each aspect of the daily theme, Purpose.
May the Lord make known His purpose and calling in each child's life!
Activities
The Musical Minstrels taught the song, “Build Your Kingdom Here.” The children echoed the prayer of each servant’s heart, “Come set Your rule and reign in our hearts again. Increase in us we pray; unveil why we're made…Set Your church on fire. Win this nation back. Change the atmosphere. Build Your kingdom here. We pray.” The Tournament Field troupe led the kids in a Tic-Tac-Toe Relay, where they raced one at a time to the Tic-Tac-Toe board, tossing their colored pool noodle trying to make three in a row before the other team. Edible buildings help remind students that Solomon fulfilled his purpose in building the temple, so those in the royal priesthood all share the purpose to glorify God. Castle photos remind students that the Lord is building them up and that He has a purpose for their lives. These photo crafts included the day’s memory verse:
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
