He Must Be Regarded As Holy • Leviticus 10:3

A great work of God was taking place in the nation of Israel as Aaron and his sons were consecrated for ministry. God’s presence filled the tabernacle and God Himself lit the fire on the altar, consuming the burnt offering. God was showing the nation that He accepted their commitment and dedication to Him. But when two of Aaron’s sons were irreverent in God’s presence, they were immediately struck down by the same fire. We should never use God’s blessing as an excuse to be irreverent, disrespectful or disobedient to Him. Those who come before God must recognize that He is holy
(Lev. 10:3) and worthy of all our reverence, worship and glory.
