The Power of Confession • Leviticus 26:38-46

Throughout the Bible, confession is something very profound and powerful. John tells us, “if we confess our sins He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” In Leviticus, God promises the people that if they confess their iniquity and unfaithfulness and humble themselves, He would remember the covenant He made to them and their forefathers. As a result, I am encouraged to not allow pride to get in the way and to be quick to confess and repent. May we be more focused on our unity with God than on being set in our ways, or even how people view us. God will never reject a broken and apologetic heart, but He will repel the proud and arrogant heart. Lord, strengthen us today to do whatever it takes to be one with You and to be separate from this world.
