The Bible does not say, “Be happy; for I am happy.” It does say, “Be holy; for I am holy” (1Peter 1:16). The Bible does not say, “If you love me, entertain my sheep.” It does say, “If you love me, feed my sheep” (John 21:17). So much of Christianity has become a desire to be happy and feel good instead of being holy, set apart, and living a righteous life unto Jesus. So much of church has become a place of entertainment, visual stimulation through music, lights, and experiences rather than a place of true worship, teaching, conviction, and repentance. “Lord, will You not revive us again?” (Psalm 85:6).
