Our five senses (sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch) are how we interact with the physical world around us. There are several verses (Matthew 5:14; 2 Corinthians 2:14-15; Romans 10:19; Matthew 5:13; Ephesians 4:17-19) that point to how expressive the body of Christ should be to the world in which it has carefully been placed. We are the light of the world, the fragrance of Christ, the sound of salvation, the flavor of the intersection of heaven with earth, the sensitivity of discernment to a callous, unfeeling world. What does your relationship with Christ communicate to the world around you?
