Look to the Reward • Hebrews 11:24-26

“Moses…choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward.” The Bible warns us that we’ll face trials and temptations- small decisions that we make throughout each day that boil down to whether we want to reward our flesh or wait for a reward from the Lord. The Bible is clear: Sin is pleasurable but only for a short season; soon after, we face the consequences of sin which are ultimately DEATH. So, who will we choose to serve and be obedient to today…this year? Moses saw that being obedient to the Lord and His Word was more important and carried a greater reward than having all the power and treasures of Egypt. I pray that we can do the same, knowing that He is worth it!
