The angel said to the disciples, “Don’t be afraid…I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.” (Luke 2:10) The Good News is that unto us a child is born who is Jesus Christ our Savior. (Isaiah 9:6) This recent holiday’s commercialization, lights and festivities have distanced us from the true meaning of Christmas. We pursue happiness in the material things of this world but come away with a deep void in our hearts. Instead, we must make it a priority this year to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and much more will be added to us. (Matthew 6:33) Christ alone fills the void in our hearts and brings true joy- salvation exists in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) Remember, that Jesus is the reason for all the season and for the rest of this new year!
